Product Name
Cenosphere
Country of Origin
Shanghai china
Specifications
Cenospheres are light gray or off white lightweight, inert
and nonmetallic hollow ceramic spheres in
the range from 400um to 0.01um. With N2 or CO2 inside and
over 95%spheres, the material has
excellent fluidity as well as sound, electric and heat insulation.
Hence it is called "The Space Era Material"
.Product Characteristics:
1. Hollow spheres with spherical morphology: The hard shell
of the sphere is 8---10% of its diameter.
2. Light: The low bulk density can greatly reduce cost of
products, resin demand and weight of the end products.
3. High compressive strength: can greatly improve the weariness
and antisepsis operation of the end products.
4. Low thermal, electrical and sound conductivity: Cenospheres
are extremely resistant to heat and typically have a melting
point in excess of 1300. As cenospheres are hollow they have
a relatively low coefficient of thermal conductivity, typically
0.09W/mk.
5. Noninflammable.
6. Low shrinkage: Cenospheres are one the few products in
the filler industry today that can meet the requirements for
low shrinkage. Cenospheres can reduce shrinkage when utilized
in high volume loadings.
7. insulation: Can be used in electronic filling and sealing
materials, instrument boards, switches, etc.
8. Low cost: Compared with mea-made glass balls, Cenosphere
is only 2/3 at the price.

Chemical Components:
Mainly made of SiO2 and Al2O3, Cenosphere is similar with
contents of ceramics. Containing N2 and CO2 inside, it is
stable in chemicals. The alumino-silicate shell is resistant
to water, any organic solvents, acids or weak alkalis. Like
most glasses, Cenospheres are not resistant to strong alkalis.

Main Usage:
Due to its specific surface, excellent physical and chemical
properties, Cenospheres are widely used as multi-functional
filling materials with high performances in rubber, plastics,
dopes, oil paints, encapsulation materials, oil industry,
space industry, glass steels, etc. With improvements in performances
of the end products and reduction of costs, Cenosphere has
promising market prospect as well as utilization benefits.
1. Dopes & oil paints: paints, bond, dopes for walls, vehicle
putty, insulating, antiseptic and fireproof paints;
2. Plastics: the products of POM, PA, PBT, PET, PP, and so
on. Like panels, boards, vehicle decorations, glass fiber
products.
3. Rubber: floors, boards, wires and lines, insulating devices,
sole, conveyer belt, vehicle parts and bodies, fender-guard,
etc.
4. Construction materials: fire and water - proof materials,
processed asphaltum, high-level road pavement, concrete repair
materials;
5. Encapsulation material: transformer filling material, electric
encapsulation materials;
6. Glass steel products: glass steel furniture, boats, etc.
7. Space or military products: explosive, invisible paints
for planes, ships and even soldiers, heat and compression
insulating compounds, deep- water submarine.
